Advisory Board
MPN is governed by a steering committee which consists of: a) representatives from a diverse group of member organizations that have made a commitment to serve on the committee and participate in the work of the committee, b) the executive director, and c) the coalition’s staff.
Steering Committee Member Organization Representatives
Judith Billage, Esq. is an attorney in private practice in Annapolis for 28 years, and a past president of the Women's Bar Association of Maryland.
Kim Birnbaum, is Sierra Club MD Chapter, Pesticide Issues chair, and a Howard County Sierra Club group Executive Committee member.
Veronika Carella, is a Children's Environmental Health Advocate. She serves on the Advisory Committee for the Coalition for Healthier Schools and is a committee member of the NE School IPM Workgroup Steering Committee ,School IPM 2015 and the Maryland Children's Environmental Health & Protection Advisory Council.
Merry Eisner, is the Maryland PTA V.P. for Legislative Affairs
Andrew Fellows, is the Chesapeake Regional Director of Clean Water Action
Lorne Garrettson, M.D., MD Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is a pediatrician and medical toxicologist involved in the management of poison control centers and the care of poisoned patients for 40 years. He has served on the faculties of medicine at several universities.
Richard Humphrey, M.D., Baltimore Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility, has been on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health for more than 47 years.
Johanna Newman, is the State Director of MaryPIRG
Lawrence Plumlee, M.D., Chemical Sensitivity Disorders Association, has been president of the Association’s board for the past 10 years. He is also on the board of the International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology.
Ed Suddath is the Executive Director of the Maryland Nurses Association
Mike Tabor is a farmer and represents the Maryland Organic Food and Farming Association
